Custom Shirt Silk Screen Printing & Embroidery

Born of Water offers a wide range of shirts, hats, rash guards, etc. to meet your specific needs. All Born of Water garments must meet the specific guidelines of Born of Water, so you can rest assure that any garment purchased meets one or more of the following: sweatshop free, made of organic materials, uses sustainable crops, made out of recycled materials, carry a low carbon footprint.

Water-Based Silk Screening

There are two main inks used in screen printing, platisols and water based. Many companies use plastisols due to their ease of use, but plastisol inks contain phthalates and liquefied polyvinyl chloride (PVC) which are a harmful to the environment. At Born of Water we use water based inks, which don't contain any of the dangerous compounds found in plastisols, and thus do not pose a threat to the environment.

In addition to being better for the environment, water based inks provide a higher quality finished product to you, our customers. Unlike plastisols which leave an image with a plastic-like feel, water based inks are absorbed into the fibers becoming one with the garment. This allows the garment to maintain it's breathability, and it can also be ironed without melting the image

The use of water based inks is very important to us at Born of Water as we are committed to producing quality products for our customers as well as being environmentally aware of the products we deliver.

Water based inks can be printed on anything from T-shirts to hats and are safe for all printables.

Direct to Garment (DTG)

In addition to silk screening, Direct to Garment printing is another technique used by Born of Water. DTG printing uses a printer in lieu of silk screens to create imagines on the garments. Our DTG printer still uses water based inks, giving you all the benefits of the water based inks including no discharge to the environment while giving you an enhanced photo like image that cannot be created by silk screens. This enhanced image created using direct to garment printing is more detailed and includes a wider selection of colors.

Direct to Garment printing is also great for doing small runs. At Born of Water we only require a minimum of 12 pieces for our DTG printing.

Embroidery

In addition to traditional screen printing, Born of Water offers embroidery for almost any product: T-shirts and polos, headwear, recycled bags, backpacks, and more. From simple text, elaborate graphics and corporate logos, Born of Water can fulfill your needs. At Born of Water we pride ourselves on quality and we will not skimp on thread count or tolerate poor stitching in order to reduce cost at your expense.
